GIS to the rescue?

One major contributor to market inefficiencies, e.g. the boom and now bust that is happening to the real estate industry and architects in particular, is informational asymmetries.  That’s where GIS comes in, per this helpful reminder from the New York Times, to uncover information and make connections.  See also previous post on this blog regarding Social Compact.
