Design for a Living World

On Thursday, July 26 the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue, will host an opening reception for Design for a Living World.

The Nature Conservancy invited 10 designers to create objects from sustainable materials sourced from around the world. Design for a Living World, which premiered at New York’s Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and traveled to Chicago and Phoenix, now finishes its tour at the Coral Gables Museum. This will be the final chance to view this beautiful exhibition as The Nature Conservancy will have a closing party on October 25th with an opportunity to purchase these items during a live auction.  The exhibit showcases projects made of sustainable materials sourced from around the world, by 10 designers including Kate Spade, Issac Mizrahi, and Maya Lin.
The reception starts at 7 p.m. and features cocktails & hors d’eouvres.

Tickets are $25 for museum members, $30 for non-members. Call 305-603-8067 for more info.
