The 2010 Census Response – What We Did and How We Did. After April 1 the Census will still be going strong, enumerating the hard-to-count households that did not respond to the mailed questionnaire. Jay Marder, Development Services Director of Miami Gardens, will lead U.S. Census personnel and local government representatives in discussing how successful South Florida’s campaigns for a complete count have been in raising the response rate. In 2000, response rates were 65% in Miami-Dade and 63% in Broward. Will we do better? Speakers also include Rafael “Ralph” de la Portilla, Senior Partnership Specialist – Miami Team Leader, Partnership Program – US Census Bureau – Miami-Dade & Monroe Counties, Scott Medvin, Broward County Coordinator, Complete Count Campaign, and Winnie Tang, Team Leader, Asian Community Outreach for the Southeast Region.
