Adriaan Geuze to Lecture at the University of Miami

The University of Miami School of Architecture will present a lecture by world-renowned Dutch landscape architect Adriaan Geuze, the designer of Lincoln Park Miami. The talk, entitled “Reframing,” will be on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Jorge M. Perez Architecture Center Glasgow Hall on the University of Miami Campus. Biography:

Mr. Geuze is principal-in-charge of West 8 Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, a leading urban design practice in Europe. After winning the prestigious Prix-de-Rome award in 1990, Geuze with West 8 established an international reputation for planning and design of the public environment. He founded the Surrealistic Landscape Architecture (SLA) Foundation in 1992 to increase public awareness of his profession. The work of West 8 integrates contemporary culture, urban identity, architecture, public space and engineering in landscape design. Geuze and Miami’s West 8 office have completed the design of Lincoln Park Miami, which is attached to the New World Symphony Building on Miami Beach. Both are scheduled to open in January 2011
